Behind the name "MODxMOD"

Pronounced "mod by mod", MODxMOD isn't just a name: it's a wish. 

The first "mod" can stand for various things, such as "modular" and "modifiable". It speaks to the physical furniture and accessories that you experience. It performs a function for you to enable your ease of daily living. You can think of it as a scaffold or a reliable fixture.

The "x" is a connector. It is the verb that creates change, it is the multiplier of possibilities, and it is the attribution to the artist. It brings two parts together to form a whole greater than their sum. "X" is also a marker of location or a point of flexibility.

The final "mod" can also stand for a variety of things, like "modern" and "modulating". It is the feeling communicated by form, art, and utility. When you see furniture that has attached art pieces, you should feel inspired or transported to places that bring you joy. The furniture is now personalized and can be customized with accessories.
